Sanctuary Opening

My family and I were privileged to be part of the official opening of the Living Word Fellowship Sanctuary on Saturday, March 18th, 2006. It was a moment in time when associates of the church, local identities, community supporters, family and friends came together with members of LWF and openly gave glory to God. The vision of Pastors David and Leah Pearce, which came into being nearly ten years ago, was celebrated and glorified. Emotion and jubilation ran high throughout the weekend.

Pastor Sandy Ritchie was invited as the guest speaker for the official public opening. Sandy and Glenyss are Associate Pastors of Dream Centre Christian Church on the Gold Coast. His words of love and encouragement for LWF echoed through to the souls of all who listened.

The support for LWF continued on Sunday during the church family service as Pastor Jim Newton, David and Leah's Pastor from Sydney, and Australian Director for the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers (AFCM), shared his message and vision for the future of LWF. He gave a message of support and hope, but also challenged the members of LWF to continue on their mission for Christ.

Peter Robertson of Worship Ministries International, Gold Coast and the LWF Music Ministry Team led the congregation in moving praise and worship music. I found singing 'The Great Southland Of The Holy Spirit' especially stirring.

I give thanks to God for allowing me to assist in the great commission of Christ through Living Word Fellowship.

The Place Where Your Glory Dwells

Jan and I were privileged to be at the opening of Living Word Fellowship’s beautiful new facilities. Praise God for His faithfulness! Pastor’s David and Leah are great leaders and inspiring visionaries who have tender, pastor hearts. We really sensed the presence of God during the opening ceremony, of which we were honoured to speak at.

‘Oh how we love this house, the place where your Glory dwells!’ Psalm 26.8

We know that God is going to use this church as a centre of influence to bring revival and to touch many lives with the Word and the love of God. We are excited to be a part of and watch all that God is doing through this church and ministry.

Yours in His service,
Jim Newton

Build it and they will come

One of the greatest things about an opening is the knowledge that it brings with it a brand new start, an opportunity to talk about new beginnings, to share in a fresh new outllook and to band together in unity to take things to a new level.

All of these thoughts crossed my mind and opened my heart to a new day for this amazing Living Word Fellowship Church. What an incredible opportunity to have the world around us see that God is a God of success and significance, and that is what I saw in playing a privileged part in this wonderful day.

What I also saw was the heart of the pastors so open to seeing God move, and then I saw the hearts of the pastors transferred into the people who love the church and the unity and power that brought to the day and of course before and beyond that day. I also saw the sacrifice of time and energy and life in general, that has put a heartbeat to an old tired building which is now alive with knowing that many people will be touched just because it is there for all to see and come to.

The movie “Field of Dreams” has a wonderful line in it which relates directly to what has happened here – “build it and they will come” .
And they will come!!!!

God Bless
Sandy and Glenyss Ritchie

A Light House

"It was wonderful to see a church open a facility that can be a light house to the area and a reflection of the relevance, goodness and generosity of our God. It is truly a place where people can see we serve a living God"

God bless

Looking forward to the rest of the journey

"The weekend was a huge success. Leah and I and our three sons were blessed to be surrounded with so many of our friends and family members. It's a privilege to be Pastors of such a wonderful people as those we have in Living Word Fellowship. This is yet another stepping stone along the pathway God has set before us and we are looking forward to the rest of the journey."
