Hi Folks!

 

God’s plan for you and I in Christ – is good! It has already been planned out for you and I just ready to discover. If we will find which paths the Lord has set before us to walk on, they will lead to His abundant life in Christ Jesus.

For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] Eph 2:10 (Amp)

Did you notice that there are “pre-arranged” pathways the Lord has ready for us to walk on. It is up to you and I to find the paths He has already prepared and obediently walk them out by faith. God only has good in mind for each one of His children and not evil as our scripture in Jeremiah declares. God already has a plan to make you “whole”, or complete, in every area of life, but it is only found on His pathways. All of God’s pathways lead to life and blessing, but there are pathways that the Enemy would have us walk on that are cursed and each one of them ultimately leads to death.

 

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death Prov 16:25 (NLT)

 

You don’t want to walk on just any old pathway because it “seems” good. It has to be the right path – it has to be God’s pathway. The pathways have been set before the believer, but it is up to each individual to choose the right one. It doesn’t just happen automatically you know, correct choices need to be made, not once, not twice, but on a daily basis.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life... Deut 30:19-20a (NLT)

So it is important that as children of God we are making the right choices in life and that we are walking on the pathways the Lord has set before each of us to walk in. One thing is for certain though, they will all be “faith” pathways because God is a faith God and the just shall live by faith, and they will all be “love” pathways, because faith works by love. Our loving Father shows us in His word what is necessary to find Him and in doing so finding His plan, as we can see in our Scripture today.

 

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will hear you. You will seek Me and find Me. When you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord Jer 29:12-14a (ESV)

 

Let’s break it down a little...

 

You will call upon Me...

          The Bible says in James that we receive not because we ask not. So if you want to know what God’s plan for your life is, then ask him. Pray

 

And come and pray to Me...

Coming to God is not just a once off event when we first ask Jesus to come into our life and be our Lord and Saviour. It is a continual day by day coming to God. It is a drawing near to the Lord as the Scriptures declare, draw near to God and He will draw near to you. What greater blessing can a person receive than having the Almighty Creator drawing near to them. But for it to happen “we” must first draw near. It is a daily choice to make

 

And I will hear you...

          He will hear what? Our prayers as we draw near to Him

 

You will seek Me and find Me...

          What an awesome promise, that we will find the Lord if we seek Him. But there is more...

 

When you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you...

          Notice it is not just a casual seeking that God is looking for, but a looking for God and going after Him with your whole heart.

 

God is all seeing and He is all knowing. He knows when we are serious and when we are just playing games. If we are seriously interested in finding the Lord and in so doing finding His awesome plan for our life, don’t you think that He would know it? Of course He does. If you want the Lord in your life then you have to go after Him. If you are serious enough you will be putting some effort in. You can’t just sit back and expect that God’s great plan will be marvellously revealed to you and that all that is needed is for you to sit back on your hands and wait for it all to happen. You’re going to have to show the Lord that you are serious about Him and that you really do want to know Him.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Heb 11:6

Let’s go all out for God! Yes it will take some serious praying and seeking God, but I am sure that each of us that do will find that He is faithful to His word and that a rich reward will be waiting.
