God has a plan and purpose for every
human soul that ever lived – that means you included. That plan was
already prepared for you and I even before we were born. The good news
is each person can find out what that plan is because it has already
been prepared ahead of time by the Almighty God himself. That plan is
there waiting for us to find out what it is. Then after we have found
out what that plan is, He then grants us all the ability and resources
to fulfil it completely.
Step one in that plan is being born
into God’s family through a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus
Christ. Without coming to God first through Jesus Christ as Lord and
Saviour there will be no point in looking any further. The Scriptures
declare that without Jesus and a faithful life in Him we are God’s
enemy and we will be subject to His wrath. That doesn’t sound like too
good a plan to me, that’s why step one is receiving Jesus and going on
to living a life in close relationship with Him until the end. So, I
will be talking about a plan the Lord has for each and every one of His
children, but first I want to be sure you understand that without Jesus
being the central focus every step along the way, it would not be
God’s plan at all. Only through Jesus do we receive eternal life and
only through Jesus can we be a partaker of all the other good things God
the Father has prepared for us.
Jesus said to him, “I am the
way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
Me John 14:6
Then
Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door
of the sheep. “All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers,
but the sheep did not hear them. “I am the door. If anyone enters by
Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. “The
thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have
come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the
sheep John 10:7-11
“My
sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. “And I give
them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone
snatch them out of My hand. “My Father, who has given them to Me, is
greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's
hand. “I and My Father are one.” John 10:27-30
Jesus
is Lord and Saviour to all that come to him and live faithfully for Him.
In the Bible there is offered to the children of God through Jesus many
benefits and promises – let’s have a look at some of them
·
The New Birth
·
The promised Holy Spirit
·
Friendship with God
·
Fruits of the Spirit
·
Authority over the works of darkness
·
Divine health
·
Divine healing
·
Divine prosperity
·
Divine protection
The
list could go on and become quite large, for these and many other
promises and benefits are offered to the believer in Christ. Why is
this? It is all because God is extremely good to us and He has included
them all in His great plan for our lives. But where I feel to go in this
series of teaching with regards to the plan of God for our life, is not
what is written in the Scriptures, but what is not written. You see, God
has a plan for each of us individually that has not been written down as
such for everyone to see, but one that is hidden in the heart of God
just waiting to be found by you and I. God has not hidden His plan from
us but He has it hidden for us. If we will walk out our Christian life
as He has designed it, it will be one of great fulfilment to us and one
of great blessing to many others. When God created you and I He had
others on His mind also that would be touched, influenced and blessed
because we obeyed the Lord. Here are just a few thoughts on the kinds of
things God has already planned for His children – hidden away for
those who want to do what it takes to find them and then go ahead and
live it out...
·
Where in the world you will live – the exact location
·
Who your friends will be
·
Who you will marry
·
What your profession will be, including ministry
profession
·
Which church you will attend
·
Who you will influence
·
Which lives you will personally touch
·
Which people will be touched that you will never meet in
this life, but will be nevertheless because you followed the plan of God
for your life
God
our Father knows all there is to know about each and every one of His
children, what we like and what we dislike. He knows what is best for
us, what we should do and what we shouldn’t do. He understands all
there is to know about you and I and because of His comprehension of the
end from the beginning has decided to plan it all out ahead of time. All
we have to do is get on the pathways that He has set before us and then
walk them out with Him. This may sound like something we could take or
leave according to what we feel like doing at the time, but let me tell
you, the Lord will require and accounting from each one of us in the
light of what He has “already” called us to do for Him. Solomon had
some insight into this, that our lives are already planned out for us by
the almighty Creator, and we will each be expected to give an account on
what we have done and how we have lived.
I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past Ecclesiastes 3:14-15

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord...
