Your Kingdom Come - Pastor’s Heart

Hi Folks!

How are you this fine day? I hope you are well as we are here in the Pearce household.

In response to the Disciples’ request “Lord, teach us to pray”, Jesus responded with a way in which we should pray… Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.. Although this is only part of Jesus’ model prayer, this is where I would like to focus our attention on for the next several lessons – “Your Kingdom come”.

There is a Kingdom that is coming to our earth in great power and glory and there is no doubt in my mind as to its coming reality, for it is written throughout the Scriptures. Not only did our Lord Jesus prophecy of its inevitable coming to our planet but it has been one of the most prophesied end time events that we can see in the Bible. Jesus is coming back to our earth in like manner as we saw Him last leave – see Acts 1:9-11. He will be here in person and those that belong to Him from ages past including our own, will be with Him. Jesus will rule and reign on this physical planet for a thousand years and we will be ruling and reigning alongside Him. Jesus is Lord of all. He is King of kings and Lord of lords – he is the great and mighty God, praise His name!

The word kingdom has revelation within itself – ‘king’ ‘dom’. A kingdom is where a king has dominion. It is his or her domain. A king upon the Earth has his kingdom in the nation wherein lies his ruler ship. The Lord Jesus Christ has rule and dominion over the entire universe for He is the great King. His rule and reign at this present time upon the earth is through His Church. Because the Church is not where she ought to be with sin and unbelief in the camp, not to mention the devil and his crowd apposing all that is good, and a world that is suffering the effects of the curse, we are witnessing a kingdom that is incomplete. It is incomplete because Jesus is not having full reign and control over it at this time. He will most certainly have complete reign though in the coming days of the millennial reign, but until that time we are to work with Him in manifesting His kingdom upon the earth. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.... Let’s look at that part today, “as it is in heaven”.

But before we go any further it is worth mentioning that there have been many thoughts about what the kingdom of God really is. Some believe the kingdom of God is in heaven. Some say His kingdom has already come and we are to rule upon the earth with the authority the He has already given us. Some say the kingdom of God is where we witness demonstration and manifestation of His wonderworking power in our midst. Some say the kingdom of God is within us now. And some say the kingdom of God has not yet come, but it is for a future time. I have just mentioned five basic understandings of what folks perceive to believe the kingdom of God as being according to the Scriptures – and all of them are correct. There may be more views out there among you of what the kingdom of God is, but this is how I see it with the understanding I have received at this time. I will list them out right now and will speak a little more about the first one before closing today

1. The kingdom of Heaven (where the throne of God is)

2. The kingdom on earth - now

3. His kingdom in our midst - through manifestation and demonstration of His power and love

4. His kingdom within the believers heart (or spirit)

5. His coming kingdom ( the millennial reign of Jesus on the earth)

The kingdom of Heaven

This is a real living place where God our Father resides. It has a large city with a magnificent throne in its centre. God is upon the throne and Jesus is also upon the throne at His right hand. Saints from all ages and countless hosts of angels surround Him and attend to Him. No one commits a sin of any kind or has a will that is contrary to the perfect will of the Father. There are no rebels in its entire domain with no one practicing a lie or deceiving in any way. It is a place of intense light and purity, little known to most folks that live upon the earth. Although it is spiritual, it is a real place and it is close by with angels travelling to and fro. The place Heaven is a planet and we know this from the Scriptures because it has a North, South, East and West. It is a massive place with the great city of God as being only a portion of it. Paradise is there and it is much like the Earth in form because it has been created by the same almighty Creator that made the heavens and the earth and all that is within.

Heaven is filled with life of all kinds as we know it now upon our own planet. There are trees, fruit, flowers, grasslands, seas, mountains, rivers and streams. There are animals and birds and creatures of all kinds as we are used to upon the earth – only in a perfect place of perfection and complete harmony. Heaven is a place of joy and pleasure only. No one gets around feeling sad and depressed nor suffers any pain or distress. No soul experiences any trace of disease or discomfort in Heaven, because all are healed and blessed beyond measure. There is no shortage or scarcity in the life of any soul, all are content and completely satisfied in the manifest presence of Almighty God. The very atmosphere of heaven is infused with the life and presence of the Creator himself. There are no genetically modified foods, no artificial colors or sweeteners and not a trace of pollution can be found anywhere in the whole domain of the heavenly kingdom J. Why is that? Because this is where the King has his complete dominion. This is where life exists as He intends and He has complete rule and authority in this place. In Heaven God does of all His good pleasure because there is no sin, no rebellious people and there is no devil.

I wanted to shed some light on what Heaven is like because this will help us better appreciate what Jesus instructed us in prayer, on earth as it is in heaven. God wants for you and I to experience some heaven in our life and in our midst on the earth – right now. God wants you and I healed on earth as it is in heaven. God wants to meet our every need on this earth as it is in heaven…

And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus Phil 4:19

The Lord is my Shepherd (to feed, guide and shield me) I shall not lack Psalm 23:1 (Amp)

Do you see that? God wants to take complete care of us right here and now as if we were already with Him in glory – praise the Lord! This attitude in our Lord’s prayer shows us much of our Lord’s intent for our lives upon the earth. As the 23^rd Psalm declares, You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. You see, one of the manifestations of the kingdom of God in our life is total health and provision. The Lord’s will is for you and I to be well and for our every need to be abundantly supplied. See the heart of God revealed through the great apostle of love, John..

May the kingdom of God be revealed in your life in the coming days with total health and abundant provision, in Jesus name. amen
