Hi Folks!
In this life we live in a physical body that is far from the perfection in
which it was first made. God the Creator fashioned the first human body in
the garden of Eden with His hands. It was made in perfection and without blemish.
There is coming a resurrection of the body in the days to come that will restore
the perfection and glory we once had - and more; praise His holy name! But
until that time, we got the one we got.
6000 years have come and gone since the perfect body in the garden of Eden.
We live in a world that is cursed from its original perfection through the
sin and fall of Adam. As the end of this age draws near, the earth is filling
up with sickness, disease, sin and death. The world is becoming more and more
unfit for human life, as wicked men continue trying to run the world without
God by ignoring His righteous standards and laws. Our physical body was not
created to live in such an environment as the one we are now living in. God
in His foreknowledge knew this before man ever fell, and offered Divine healing
as one of our covenant benefits through the sacrifice of His Son. As the Scriptures
declare...
He Himself bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases. Matt
8:17
We see here Jesus bore the sicknesses and diseases of mankind, in His own
body on the cross.
The prophet Isaiah wrote prophetically of this event hundreds of years before
it occurred, saying...
Surely He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains; yet we esteemed
Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon
Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5
Then the apostle Peter looking back in time to the crucifixion said...
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died
to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.
1Pet 2:24
This is good news to the believer! Not only did our Lord bear our sin on the
cross, but our sicknesses and diseases also. Not only do we have a covenant
right to be completely forgiven of our sins when we confess them, but to be
living in Divine health as well. As 1Peter declares, if we
would live unto righteousness, ie. if we would recognize our righteousness
in Christ Jesus and live according to it; and by His stripes you were
healed, then you're already healed right now! If you "were"
healed, then you already "are" healed in the eyes of Almighty God.
We should not be trying to "get" healed by begging God for it, when
Jesus has "already" paid the price for it. We already have been
healed around 2000 years ago when Jesus Christ bore our sicknesses and carried
our diseases on His cross - praise you Lord!
Jesus purchased our complete freedom on the cross and our healing is included.
We are not the sick trying to get healed - but we are the healed, and Satan
has been trying to steal our health from us. Please read that last line a
few more times and let the truth of it sink deep into your heart... There
are many folks out there who think God is trying to teach them something through
their sickness but that is far from the truth. God is not putting sickness
on His people to try and teach them. Jesus has "already" bore our
sicknesses and diseases many years ago. Some have many of their own reasons
to argue what they believe, according to their twisted view of the Scriptures.
Paul's thorn in the flesh is a classic one. The scriptures don't say the thorn
in Paul's flesh had anything to do with God. What we do see is the thorn was
a messenger of "Satan", sent to buffet him. God does not send His
arch enemy the Devil, to teach, train or discipline His people!
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations,
a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest
I be exalted above measure. 2Corinthians 12:7
As you see, the "messenger" was from Satan - not God. Satan was
all out to shut Paul down. The great truths of the kingdom were not only setting
Paul free, but people everywhere were being freed from their bondages by the
eternal Words and revelations of the Lord. Paul did cry out for deliverance
from this problem, and the Lord's reply was, My grace is sufficient for
you... . My simple paraphrase of that is, "My grace is on you son
and it is all you need right now - "you" do something about the
devil." According to the Word, aren't "we" told to resist the
devil and he will flee from us? Aren't "we" told to cast him
out? Aren't "we" told to give him no place in our
life? We have been given the authority in Jesus name to resist "all"
the works of the enemy. Sickness and disease is not of our Father, it is a
work of our enemy Satan. We are to resist sickness and disease as we would
resist sin.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who
went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for
God was with Him. Acts 10:38
Our Lord Jesus perfectly revealed the will of our Father concerning healing
by never refusing to heal anyone. Healing was and still is offered to all
as an expression of God's great love and mercy, but it is, and also was not
always received. He is willing to heal you today because nothing has changed...
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews
13:8
You need to be bold and take God at His word and receive His healing power
in your life today if you have not already. It gives God great pleasure to
show mercy to His people by healing them as they cry out for it in faith.
This is a very big subject to try and teach in its entirety and would take
many lessons. But most simply put, "By His stripes - I am healed!"
And behold, a leper came and worshipped Him, saying, "Lord, if you are
willing, You can make me clean." Then Jesus put out His hand and touched
him, saying "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy
was cleansed.
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed.
And he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that
it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He
Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses." Matthew
8:2-3, 16-17
Now Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching
the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds
of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and
they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases
and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics;
and He healed them. Matthew 4:23-24
The blind receive their sight and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and
the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached
to them. Matthew 11:5
Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I
give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet
and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and
entered the temple with them - walking, leaping and praising God... And His
name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and
know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness
in the presence of you all... Let it be known to you all, and to all the people
of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified,
whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
Acts 3:6-8, 16; 4:10
There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight
years and was paralysed. And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ
heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately. So all
who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord. Acts
9:33-35
God wants you well. Please agree with me as I pray for you that the power
of God will flow in you and through you effecting a healing and a cure of
any sickness or disease in your body. I believe the healing power of God is
working in your body right now in Jesus Name, and by His stripes you are healed.
Keep your faith switched on until every trace of sickness and disease has
disappeared from your physical body - to His eternal glory! amen
