Hi Folks!
Did you notice that all of the promises given to us by our Father
in Heaven are backed up by a big yes, and then further by an amen
(so be it). Praise God dear people, that is good news! There are literally
thousands of promises given to God's people in the Bible which cover every
possible area of our life, family and ministry. It is possible for you and
I to walk in complete victory in this life. As our scripture today declares,
God receives glory through us receiving His promises in our lives. Why is
this? Because it shows not only to you and I, but to everyone else that -
God is good!! God desires to do good in our lives and not evil.
There is one "little" difference though between a promise that God
gives and a promise that man gives. Man has been known at times to break his
promises, but the great Creator God has never broken a one - nor will He ever!
God is a promise keeper. If He has ever given a promise to anyone then He
is obligated to keep it, because He is faithful and true.
Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to His people Israel, according
to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise,
which He promised through His servant Moses. 1Kings 8:56
We serve a God who is full of integrity and can be trusted to keep His Word.
He is not a liar so therefore He will not break His promises. People have
been known to break their promises - not God.
... it is impossible for God to lie... Hebrews 6:18
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness
of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man
a liar. Romans 3:3-4a
You and I will receive the promises of God in our life when we place our faith
in the "Promiser" and not in people. Too many of us at one time
or another have been disappointed in life because people have let us down.
Much of this is caused by our own selves placing too high an expectation on
people, when we should have been placing our expectations in God. Our God
can be trusted to keep His promises.
What God says about you and I is true. What God promises we can do - we can
do because He says we can. What God promises we can have - we can have because
He said we can have it. All God has promised you and I will certainly come
to pass in our life if we will only put our faith and trust in Him to bring
it to pass. I realize this is very fundamental information I am presenting
to you folks, but you must admit that most of us in the Church have a ways
to go before we inherit all of God's promises in our life, as we ought to
have. Over the next few weeks I would like to present you with a few vital
keys that will help you on your way to receiving all of the promises of God.
I will close with the following scripture which I'm sure will prove to you
that God can be trusted. It's the middle verse of the entire Bible and I believe
it was strategically placed there by the hand of our Creator. The Bible is
a large book made up of 66 individual books with many more chapters and many
more verses and words. The middle verse in the whole Bible is Psalm 118:8.
On the left side of this is Psalm 117 which is the smallest chapter in the
Bible, and on the right side of this is Psalm 119 which is the largest chapter
in the Bible. Just take a look at what this middle verse says!!
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8
God bless you richly!

For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him amen, to the glory
of God through us.
