Hi Folks!
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. What is Jesus saying here? I believe He is saying that it is our Father's will for us to partake of Heaven right now! After all where is Paradise? Of course it is in heaven - but also it is in our hearts because this is where the Holy Spirit dwells. The resources of heaven are at our disposal 24/7 because God is with us. It is our Father's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. When? Right now if we are bold enough to believe this! Our Master prayed that God's will be done right here on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

God is having His way in Heaven right now. Why? Because there is no resistance there. The devil and his crazy bunch are not there. They are down here with us, not to mention the cursed world we are also living in. The saints in Glory are freely partaking of all of Heaven's resources. There is only abundant life, peace, joy and happiness in Heaven. Heaven is full of God's presence and the atmosphere is filled with His praises. There is no lack of any kind in Glory, only abundance. There is no sickness or pain or sadness and sorrow in Heaven - only life!

When Jesus Christ died on the cross the total price was paid for our total life prosperity - for eternity! Praise God, we have such a glorious future ahead of us in Christ. But I believe we are to be partaking of this life right now - the will of our Father on earth as it is in Heaven. But, have you noticed that the blessings of God don't just fall on us like ripe apples falling off a tree? Let's have a look at the Words of the Master.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

The abundant overflowing life is available to both you and I as Christians, but there is a thief in the world who is continually endeavouring to keep this life from flowing to us. If we have it, he tries to take it from us. If we don't have it, he tries to deceive us by making us think we can't have it until we get to Heaven. The purpose of this teaching series on the Lord's prayer is not to teach you how to walk in divine prosperity. But if we will take up the attitude of the Master that He gives us through His prayer, the abundant life will be assured us.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3John 2

You will notice the children of Israel had to take the promised land by force. It didn't come to them, they had to go and possess it. It took obedience to the command of God and it took faith and courage. They took the land promised them in a natural physical way. We too will take the "land of blessing" (the life more abundantly) as we aggressively use our faith on a daily basis.

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12

It will take a steady commitment to pray on a daily basis like the Master taught us. It will require faith and courage to take God at His Word and believe the promises. We will walk in His abundant life on the earth as we believe right, pray right, love right, and live right. Saints, let's walk in the footsteps of Jesus and witness the will of God being accomplished right in our midst. We will be the biggest loving bunch on earth, unified together and walking in all the manifest goodness and provision of our God!

Be blessed!

love

David

On Earth as it is in Heaven

"In this manner therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

Matthew 6:9-13
