Hi Folks!

Your kingdom come! We as the Church have been praying this way for 2000 years and we're about to have our prayers answered. Praise God, aren't you looking forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth? The King is coming and He's coming soon! Jesus is about to restore the earth and set up His millennial kingdom. The wolf and the lamb will feed together and poisonous snakes will strike no more. In those days for a person to die at 100 years of age would be considered young! (see Isaiah 65:17-25). There will be peace in the world like never seen since before the fall of man. We will posses glorified bodies that will live forever, no sickness or pain and energy to burn. Jesus will reign from Jerusalem and God will have His way. It will be glorious!

When Jesus sets up His kingdom things are going to change in a big way. Why? Because the King will be dominating how things are done in the world. The devil will be bound for a thousand years and Jesus will rule. The word king-dom suggests this. When we are asking God for His kingdom to come, we are in essence requesting the King to Dominate. Yes, Jesus will certainly dominate when He returns physically, but He wants to have the dominion in our lives and circumstances right now. When we pray Your Kingdom come... Your will be done we are asking God to have His way. Jesus suggests we have the attitude of "not my will but Yours be done". You will notice thus far as we have been progressing through the Lord's Prayer, it has all been about God and what He wants. What we want has not even had a mention yet!

I think this is where so many of us go wrong in our walks with the Lord. We have ourselves on our mind too much and it only leads to more and more self centeredness. We seek to please ourselves and much of the time end up disappointed and dissatisfied. Only God can truly satisfy as we put our trust in Him. The scriptures exhort us to focus our minds on the Lord and not on ourselves.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:1-3

Not only is our Savior in heaven, but He is living in our hearts right now by the Holy Spirit. There is a coming Kingdom where the King will reign supreme. There is also a kingdom in this world which is established through the faith and lives of God's children, where our King gets to have His way. But most importantly His kingdom is within us. Look no further - paradise is within our hearts because that is where the King dwells.

Nor will they say, "see here!" or "se there!" For indeed. the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21

Divine guidance is available to you and I whenever we need it because the King lives within us. Victory is assured us as we follow the Lord because our God always leads us in triumph. Our Father God desires to get involved in our life and bless us by establishing His kingdom in our midst. As the scriptures declare it is our Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom. When His kingdom is established in our lives we will experience His peace, guidance, protection, divine health and prosperity. Our lives will be that of "wholeness" with nothing missing and nothing lacking. These things come to us as a result of seeking first His kingdom, not our own.

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
Matthew 6:33 (Amp)

The true servant of the Lord is much more concerned about what his Master wants than what he wants. Our attitude should be to no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who died for us and was raised again (see 2Cor 5:15). This is our primary call - to love and obey the Saviour and to seek His glory alone. There is truly nothing more satisfying than living our lives for Jesus. Yes we are sons and daughters of the King through the new birth experience, but 'we' choose to serve Him and follow Him all the days of our life.

Dear people, let's band together to get the job done for our Master. As we love and obey Him we will be assured the victory in every area of our lives and ministry.
To God be the glory! Amen.

Your Kingdom Come

"In this manner therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

Matthew 6:9-13
