Hi Folks!
Our God has such a heart to be one with His people. His desire is that we
know Him intimately as He knows us. One of the major reasons for this is
so that He may fill us with His fullness!
This is what He wants, but we need to ask ourselves; “Is this what I want?” Most of us would be quick to answer “yes” to a question like this, but I would like you to look deep within your heart to see what is really going on in there. As I mentioned in the last Ps Heart letter the Lord has been dealing with me about heart motives. Son, how much do you really want Me in your life? How much of what you are doing is for you or for Me? Are you willing to do My will? Are you willing to do it My way? Who do you love the most?
I have two questions for you:
1. What do you want most in life?
2. What are you most diligent at in life?
If you are unsure of your answer to question 1, you will find the answer in your response to question 2. But before going any further lets look at Hebrews 11:6…
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
The word “diligent” means: To work at something, and for it to be done with care and effort.
According to God’s Word then, we need to be putting forth an effort in seeking the Lord and to be continually working at it. This lines up perfectly with our great commandment to love the Lord with all of our heart, mind and strength… What we want the most in life is more often than not reflected in what we are the most diligent at doing. If you are one that genuinely wants the Lord, then you will be one that is found diligently seeking Him. Is God number one in your life? Is He more important to you than anything else? Are you seeking Him diligently, or is it other stuff?
Let’s look at some other possible things you may be diligently seeking
more than the Lord:
· Success?
· Impressing others?
· Pleasing others?
· Your job?
· Your image and looks?
· Pleasure?
· Sport?
· My ministry? etc, etc, etc.
You see, the finding is in the seeking. The scriptures declare if you seek Him you will find Him… if you draw near He will draw near! This can be a little hard to swallow, but we have as much of God in our life as we want. He is a Gentleman and will not push Himself onto anyone. If He is invited and we open the door He will come right on in. He knows when He is really wanted and this is proved out by what we are doing… not just by what we are saying!
The scriptures declare that God will personally reward those who diligently
seek Him. Notice it’s Him we are to seek after and
not what He can do for us. Because of covenant the Lord will meet our needs
as we trust Him, but the richness of His presence and fullness comes upon
all who sincerely seek Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ is deserving of all the
love and attention we could ever offer Him. He owns us twice over –
the first time by right of creation and the second by right of redemption.
He has a full right to each and every one of us, but in His great love He
is waiting for us to respond first, not because we have to but because we
want to. Amen!
May God bless you in your quest for Him

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He may grant
you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might
through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts
through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able
to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth
and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you
may be filled with all the fullness of God.
