Good morning everyone!
Yes we are still continuing in our Faith Walk series. I feel like I'm just beginning to learn about walking with God - how about you? One thing is for certain though is that we must do it by faith. This is the way HE chose and there is no other way that works in His kingdom... for... Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Hebrews 11:6. Yes, there is some believing, and there is some earnest seeking if we are really going to know Him this side of heaven. Enoch walked with God and so can you and I. We can know the Master intimately. This is our call - to walk with God. This can only be done through our believing and thus the importance of us growing up into Him in all things through our faith. I encourage each and every one of you to press into God with all you've got, hear what He has to say and then obey. The rewards are eternal and the victory is assured!
Let's now take a closer look at Hebrews 11:1. Notice faith has substance. In this natural realm we cannot see it or feel it with our physical senses. But it is a real, living, spiritual force which has substance in the realm of the spirit. Our God didn't create this universe out of nothing as many of us have thought. It was first thought about ever so intricately in the heart and mind of the Father. He dreamed about you and I and this whole wide world long before it was ever created. When the image was clear and the plan was complete, His Words were brought forth and all that was created was made substance through His faith. We also see from the scriptures that a whole lot of wisdom and understanding were required, along with a big dose of love, to name a few. One thing is certain though - faith is the substance of what our God hoped for. Faith is creative power!
Our faith works in the same way. Notice that faith is NOW. Now faith is the substance... Hope is in the future. Bible hope is an intense expectation of good things to come, according to the plan and purpose of God. Our faith reaches into the unseen realm of future things we are expecting or hoping for, and brings them into this present natural realm. Faith is in the present. We also understand and believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder. Faith is walking with God now. Not yesterday or tomorrow but right now. It's one thing to say "I believe God will... ", but it requires faith to say "God is bringing this to pass in my life now!" The faith of God calls those things that are not yet manifest as though they were... until they are. Our trust in God should be right now otherwise it is not faith at all.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6
Imagine acknowledging Him now in every present circumstance, believing that He is working in your life for good, and all your future pathways he will direct. Wow! What a future God has for each of His children but it takes faith in the present for that future plan to unfold. True faith is walking with God 24/7. Isn't that faith's ultimate goal - to restore the intimate fellowship with His creation that Adam once lost? Our faith is not out there in the future somewhere but it is tied into the present with our fellowship with God and His Word, and with our own words.
You will remember from previous teachings that God's words are filled with faith. The primary action of our faith is in spoken words. Speaking God's Word from our mouth releases creative power. This creative power, formed on our tongue and spoken out of our mouth moves things in the realm of the spirit. You will notice in the following verse from the Master's faith teaching that we are to believe when we pray... present tense.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Mark 11:24
Jesus expects us to have our faith switched on all the time. After we ask or pray a thing to God, we are to go on from that time fully expecting that He heard us when we prayed, and then act accordingly by thanking Him that it is already done. A thankful attitude to the Lord shows Him and everyone else for that matter that you believe this stuff. Thanking God for the good things that are happening in your life, even before you see them is evidence that your faith is switched on. This is the faith walk - calling those things that are not as though they were. Believe in the power of your words. Believe that no word that comes out of your mouth is insignificant and void of power. Grab a hold of the promises in the Bible and claim each one as your own by first speaking them out of your mouth and then acting as though those words are coming to pass in your life. Be thankful and go on your way praising God for the victory.
Jeremiah 1:12 says that God is watching to perform His Word. The Lord watches over His words to bring them to pass.
Hebrews 3:1 calls Jesus as the Apostle and high priest of our confession. If we will but speak God's Word into a situation, Jesus will watch over those words to bring them to pass. Jesus has been sent by God the Father as THE Apostle and High Priest of our lives, and He watches over our words of faith to perform them. Folks, your words of faith will literally come to pass before your very eyes if you will not give up and stay with the programme. You must keep speaking the desired end result only, to ensure your faith works for you. You can't be double minded about this. Speak only what you believe. Speak only what you desire.
Well there are only two messages left in our faith series, 1. Two opposing Forces, and 2. Faith's Partner. I ministered these over the last couple of weeks here in Thangool and I hope they will be a blessing to you if you were not here with us to hear them. These messages are vital for us to understand if we are to receive what we are believing for. Although none of these messages are complete in themselves, I'm believing with you for the Holy Spirit to help you apply these principles to your everyday lives, and that you will receive the victory in Jesus mighty Name.
I will close now with some confessions for you to grab a hold of. Speak them out loud as if they were already a reality in your life. Call yourself what the Lord has already called you. Call yourself blessed and prosperous in every area of your life.
I'm believing with you for the victory
I am God's child and His Holy Spirit lives in me. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. I'm strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I'm alive and He fills me with His strength and keeps me going. I'm sharp, I'm bright, good looking and a major blessing. That's me! (Yes you should speak this way and call yourself blessed even if you feel ugly and broke! That's the time you need to confess the truth of what you believe the most.)
I'm filled with the knowledge of God's will and I'm anointed with His wisdom. I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my pathway. I am a good man/ woman and my steps are ordered of the Lord.
I hear the voice of Jesus my good Shepherd and I do not follow the voice of strangers. I am a follower of God, therefore He says and I do. I'm led by the Holy Spirit. I'm always in the right place at the right time for every situation.
The Lord is my light and my salvation. He is my helper therefore I will not fear. He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him I do trust.
I am the temple of the Holy Spirit and His healing power is at work
in me now. Every cell of my body works perfectly and my immune system is
healthy and strong. Sickness and disease have no power over me, and by His
stripes I am healed.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen... by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of
God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are
visible.
