Hi Folks!
Well it's been a while since I sent the last Pastor's Heart to you all.
A big helloooo! to you all and I hope you are coming along well in your
faith walk. Walking after Jesus is the most rewarding thing anyone can do
and I hope this year turns out to be the best for you ever. I realize that
tough times can come upon us all from time to time, but please keep trusting
God to work it all out and He will. Our earth walk is so very short and
fleeting compared to eternity that the trials we go through are hardly worth
worrying about. Before you know it we will be basking in His awesome presence
forever. I encourage each and every one of you to look toward your glorious
future and rejoice! This is all part of the Faith Walk that each of us are
expected to walk.
Remember from my previous teachings that "our faith is activated by our believing... and that true believing is obeying." Our faith walk and our walk of obedience to God and His Word are so closely tied together. Our faith is the connector to all the promises in the Bible. Take our text from Ephesians for example; all three boldness, access and confidence are each available to the believer through our faith in God. We can boldly access the very throne room of the universe through faith in the blood of Jesus, see Hebrews 10:19. Glory to God that's good news!
Have a look at 1John 3:21-22 (NLT). Dear friends, if our conscience is clear, we can come to God with bold confidence, and we will receive whatever we request because we obey Him and do the things that please Him. Because you obey the Lord and live a life that is pleasing to Him, you will receive whatever you are asking for in prayer. Hallelujah that's more good news! We know that we can please Him because Hebrews 11 tells us that we can through our faith. The scriptures declare that we can come to God with bold confidence and receive whatever we ask for. But it comes with a condition that we just finished reading in 1 John 3 - a clear conscience.
What's your conscience? It's that small voice down on the inside of you
that we often refer to as the inner witness. It's the voice of your recreated
spirit man if you are born again. It's the part of your being that God for
most of the time communicates with. God is a spirit being and He communicates
Spirit to spirit. You have an unction from the Holy One and you know
all things 1John 2:20 (KJV). In our spirit man is
where we know what to do... right down in our knower.
Folks we are not only to obey the written Word of God but also what we know
to do in our hearts... for if our conscience is clear we can come to
God with bold confidence! Beloved, if our heart does not
condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 1 John 3:21
This is the kind of walk the Lord desires for each of His children to walk
in. Proverbs 28:1b (Amp) says, the uncompromisingly
righteous are as bold as a lion. Without allowing compromise in our
lives we are assured boldness.
Our faith walk is closely tied together with an obedient life. Take a look
at these following verses:
Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a
good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed,
have turned aside to idle talk... having faith and a good conscience, which
some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck.
1Timothy 1:5-6,19
Holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. 1Timothy
3:9
The apostle Paul served the Lord with a clear conscience. He served Jesus
with great boldness even in the face of heavy persecution.
Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said, "Men and brethren,
I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day."
Acts 23:1
I myself always strive to have a conscience without offence toward God and men. Acts 24:16
I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers
did... 2Timothy 1:3
Notice in the last verse Paul mentioning the great men of old as also serving
the Lord with a pure conscience. It's no wonder they were as bold as they
were and that God could use them as He did. My friend, God will use you
in the same way if you but serve Him with a clear conscience. Our life of
faith cannot be separated from an obedient daily walk with the Master.
God bless you richly

According to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our
Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith
in Him.
